Neuromuscular therapy
Neuromuscular Therapy(NMT) is an advanced manual technique that uses a combination of trigger point release and myofascial release to address problems in muscles, connective tissue, and joints.
Trigger point release
A steady increase of manual pressure to a trigger point(TrP), to eliminate the main cause of muscle dysfunction.
Myofascial release
A slow stretch on the connective tissue restrictions to correct movement and eliminate pain.
Cupping
Using silicone or plastic cups to help promote fluids to a specific area to hydrate the fascial tissue. The marks left behind are NOT bruises as the cups do not break any blood vessels. The color varies depending on the patient and how stagnant the area cupped has been.
Kinesiology taping
A thin stretchy, adhesive tape is applied to the skin in order to facilitate range of motion in a supportive and flexible manner. It is clinically proven to increase lymph and blood circulation, allowing for faster recovery time.
